Big Toe Pose, or Padangusthasana in Sanskrit, is a foundational yoga posture that stretches the hamstrings, strengthens the legs, and improves balance.

Steps to Perform Big Toe Pose Yoga (Padangusthasana)

Start in Tadasana (Mountain Pose):
Stand upright with your feet hip-width apart. Distribute your weight evenly across both feet and engage your core.

Tadasana (Yogateket)

Prepare to Bend Forward:
Take a deep breath in, and as you exhale, hinge forward at your hips. Keep your spine long and avoid rounding your back.

Bend Forward (Ekhart Yoga)

Grab Your Toes:
Use your index and middle fingers to hook around your big toes. Bend your knees slightly if needed to avoid strain.

Grab Your Toes ( Medium )

Lengthen and Fold:
Inhale to lengthen your spine, then exhale to fold deeper, bending your elbows outward for a deeper stretch.

Lengthen and Fold ( Temple Yatri)

Hold and Release:
Hold the pose for 5-10 breaths, then release your toes and slowly rise back up to standing on an inhale.
